Most cable management fails because people try to solve it with one product. A tidy desk actually needs three layers working together: containment, routing, and elevation.

Layer 1: Containment

Bundle cables that run the same direction — say, from your monitor and speakers back to your CPU — into a single sleeve. A neoprene cable sleeve zips around 4-6 cords and instantly turns a tangle into one clean line. It also protects the cords themselves from pet chewing and foot traffic.

Layer 2: Routing

Once bundled, cables still need to be held in place along their path — otherwise they slide back into a pile. Adhesive cable clips mounted along the back or underside of your desk route cords exactly where you want them, and reusable velcro ties handle any excess length without permanent adhesive.

Layer 3: Elevation

The last piece is getting power strips and chargers off the floor entirely. A mounted cable management tray under your desktop holds your power strip and charging bricks above the floor, which also makes vacuuming and cleaning underneath your desk dramatically easier.

Putting it together

Start from your devices and work backward: bundle with a sleeve, route with clips, and land everything in an elevated tray. Most desks take about 10 minutes once you have the three pieces on hand — and unlike a one-time cleanup, this system stays tidy because every cable has a designated path.
